China to Release New Development
Strategy on Mineral Resources
UMETAL-CHINA, The Program of Natinal
Mineral Resources (The program),
which is made by Chinese Academy of
Land and Resources Economics has not
yet been submitted to State Council
of China. But Meng Xuguang, who
participated in the program told
Umetal that this program is expected
to submitted to State Council in the
near future.
The program focuses on the
development and research structure
of Chinese mineral resources,
according to Meng Xuguang . The
program adopts difference policy in
line with different mineral
products, Mr.Meng added, The program
encourages to develop the key
mineral products like iron ore,
chrome, high grade manganese,
copper, etc, which is wanted and in
tight supply in domestic market.
The program also set the target of
enhancing sustainable supply of
important mineral resources.
Besides, the program suggests to set
up a mineral resources reserve and
protection mechanism, in an attempt
to adjust the market, deal with
contingency and ensure supply.
